Speranza-Gioia-Dolore-Gratitudine
Quanto la famiglia aveva sperato di ottenere un intervento chirurgico per Ishatou ed erano felici che l'operazione fosse stata resa possibile nel novembre 2022. L'intervento riuscito del dott. Charles Mvondo e il suo team hanno dato ancora una volta motivo di gioia e speranza. Sfortunatamente, le complicazioni sono sorte subito dopo l'operazione. Ishatou doveva essere rimesso alla respirazione artificiale. Furono fatti diversi tentativi per far respirare Ishatou in modo indipendente, purtroppo senza successo. Il 03 dicembre 2022 Ishatou ci ha lasciato per sempre. I genitori e il team del Cardiac Center sono rimasti scioccati dalla perdita di una bambina così cara. Nel mezzo del loro dolore, i genitori hanno trovato parole di ringraziamento e apprezzamento per la squadra del Cardiac Center e per Voi, cari e stimati sostenitori.

IIshatou ei suoi genitori hanno fatto il lungo viaggio dal nord del Camerun alla capitale nella speranza che Ishatou possa essere aiutata lì. Nella sua città natale di Ngaoundere, la dott. Sileu ha diagnosticato a Ishatou la Tetralogia di Fallot e ha raccomandato un esame da parte del team di cardiochirurgia a Yaoundé. È stata confermata la necessità di correzione chirurgica del difetto cardiaco.
Ishatou è figlio unico. Sahi, il padre ha avuto un grave incidente qualche tempo fa e non può più svolgere il suo lavoro di autista. La famiglia dipende dalla buona volontà degli altri. Ishatou è stato quindi subito inserito nel programma di sponsorizzazione mi-do.
