Recovery story
Marie is doing well!
Everything went perfectly! In September 2025, Marie underwent successful surgery performed by Dr. Charles Mvondo and his team and has since recovered quite well. After being discharged from hospital, she was still called in regularly for wound care. At her check-up after one month, everything was fine!
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Ms Annelies S. Thanks to her generous support, Marie was able to receive help very quickly!
Marie was born far too early and was constantly ill from birth. Her parents went from hospital to hospital trying to find help for her. When she was finally diagnosed with an atrial septal defect in January 2025, they still hoped that the problem would "grow out." However, this is not the case. After further cardiological examinations, it was clear that surgical correction was absolutely necessary.
Marie has three brothers who attend school. Her parents naturally hope for the same for Marie in the future, but for that to happen, she needs to get healthy. With a contribution from her family, other benefactors, and mi-do, Marie will receive the surgery she needs and get well.
