Ismael and his parents made the long journey from Chad to Yaounde, Cameroon, to seek professional help. What began as mild knee pain soon developed into a serious illness. Ismael's legs swelled, and he began bleeding heavily from his nose. From a referral center in Chad, Ismael was sent to Cameroon for cardiological and cardiac surgery evaluation. When Ismael arrived in Yaounde on September 5, 2025, he could barely walk and appeared very ill. Two heart valve defects were diagnosed, and Dr. Charles Mve Mvondo immediately put Ismael on the surgery list.

Ismael has six siblings (and four more from his father's second wife). The family desperately needs financial support for the surgery. They can manage the pre- and post-operative care themselves. Thanks to the generosity of the mi-do donation community, a huge burden has been lifted from his parents! Thank you so much!

September 16, 2025: Ismael has already undergone successful surgery and is recovering well! We will provide further information once the fundraising campaign is complete.
