Chloe's parents, Nadine and Landry, are very worried about their littlest one. Chloe has not developed like her four siblings. She breathes heavily and is too small for her age. The search for the cause has finally revealed that Chloe was born with a heart defect, a ventricular septum defect. The cardiologist Dr. Cabral Tantchou advised a surgical correction.

Even though the costs of surgery in Cameroon are many times lower than in Europe,  they can rarely be covered, even with a good income. Hardly anyone has five average annual salaries at their disposal.
